What is it and how does it work?

Microsoft Skype for Business is an enterprise grade Unified Communications (UC) platform that can provide your business all the UC features it requires – all delivered from one consistent user experience and interface. It delivers your business voice, video, desktop sharing, instant messaging and presence with full Microsoft product integration such as Office and Calendar integration.

Deploying Skype for Business for enterprise telephony can be achieved via a number of architectures and solutions. Achieving full enterprise telephony such as PSTN calling requires additional functionality, over and above what Office 365 Skype for Business delivers today.

As a Microsoft certified partner, our team not only has the experience and certifications but also the in-house resources to deliver Skype for Business Enterprise Telephony to our customers.

• PSTN Calling Integration. PSTN calling integration is not supported today out of Office 365 but we will let you know as it is available. However, PhoneTek, can provide you full PSTN integration via our SIP Trunking capabilities to remove the need for you to operate two phone systems.
• Handset or Soft Client Options. As part of our Skype for Business solution we offer a number of handsets from leading UC vendors such as Polycom, in addition we also offer soft client only solutions coupled with headsets to cater for those team members who prefer headset based communications.
• Video Conferencing Integration. When external meetings are required our Video Conferencing Virtual Meeting Rooms can be integrated to bridge the technology gap between your Skype for Business solution and whatever standards based system your partners and customers are using.
